Today the College has an enrolment of 560 students and a reputation for dynamism, educational excellence and outstanding pastoral care. MacKillop College is one of the great success stories of Catholic education in Tasmania.

Our educational vision is the same that guided Mary MacKillop and Edmund Rice, two great heroes of Catholic education, and we strive to make our motto In Faith and Hope and Love the living truth in our community.

Classes are conducted in modern premises and the school makes every effort to ensure that methods and equipment meet the requirements of best practice. There is a vast array of curricular and co-curricular activity for students of our college.

MacKillop College both supports and nurtures students, helping them develop a personal ethical framework that includes self-confidence and self-knowledge as well as knowledge of the world they live in and their place in it. Our school is based on a rich Christian tradition as revealed in the Gospels and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
