Vision Statement
Inspired by Jesus and His Good News
and with Mary MacKillop as our model we emphasise the dignity and merit of all,
and we dedicate ourselves in the spirit of Edmund Rice to being a community which shares responsibility for an wholistic education
which is student centered, which has a strong sense of belonging,
and which contributes to the development of a more fully human society
MacKillop College is a co-educational Christian school in the Catholic tradition which strives to develop a unique identity of faith, hope and love based on the vision and person of Jesus Christ.
As a community of students, parents and staff working together towards common goals, we endeavour to be welcoming, open to and supportive of each other.
At MacKillop College we aim to educate the whole person: spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and morally. We believe in the importance of a broad curriculum suited to the needs, abilities and interests of the students. We aim to provide encouragement and opportunity for each student to reach excellence and to achieve to the best of his or her God-given talents.
During 1998, the process for formally expressing and committing to the College Vision Statement began. The Vision Statement was launched on the 5th of November 1999 which co-incided with the opening of the College Chapel.
