Fees and Levies
The College Board sets annual fees and levies for students attending MacKillop College. The inclusive standard fee for 2008 is $2,412 per student per year, payable in 9 monthly instalments of $268. Payments can be made by BPay, EFTPOS, cheque, cash,
credit card, direct debit from your nominated account or
by using the Centrepay service provided by Centrelink.
Tuition fees are charged to partly meet the cost of tuition,
purchasing and replacing class sets of textbooks, materials
and consumables used in all subjects, excursions, bus
hire and venue hire, school competition entry fees,
sports carnivals and training of sports teams, the Physical
Education aquatics program, Refl ection Days, College
Feast Days, Liturgies, Commencement and Thanksgiving
Masses, levies charged to the school by the Catholic
Education Office and locker hire. The tuition fee also
covers levies for students who participate in a College
team/s such as soccer, netball, cricket, hockey, basketball,
waterpolo, touch football, debating, rockclimbing etc.
Activities that are NOT covered by the tuition fee and
which will be invoiced separately are year group camps
for Years 7 to 9, as well as Outdoor Education camps
and Science Extended camps in Years 9 & 10 and Music camps.
Books and Stationary
Book Days are held at the College two weeks before classes commence. A booklist and order form which lists all books and stationery required for each subject is sent to all new and current students in late October/early November. Orders can be placed with the College and collected and paid for on Book Day. A range of stationery is also available from the College Uniform Shop during the year.
Payment
Fee accounts are issued at the start of each month from March to November. Payment can be made to the College office by BPay, EFTPOS, cheque, cash, direct debit or CentrePay. Special arrangements can be made for payment by instalment for families who are experiencing financial hardship.
Family Discount
Fee discounts are available for families with three or more children in Catholic schools. The scale of discounts at MacKillop is:
3 children in Catholic schools 12.5% discount
4 children in Catholic schools 25% discount
5 children in Catholic schools 40% discount
